Inspired by
One Woman’s Story
Founder Mary Durrett began mentoring a woman named Sasha while volunteering at a local nonprofit serving homeless women in Montgomery County. Through that experience, she saw firsthand how many survivors of abuse and trauma needed deeper support as they worked to rebuild their lives.
Many were navigating emotional pain, financial instability, and the challenge of creating safe, stable futures for themselves and their families.
The Sasha Foundation was created to help fill that gap — offering mentorship, emotional support, and practical assistance so survivors can move toward healing, stability, and renewed hope.
